How to Use the Call to Action on Your Landing Page
In this video, you'll learn how to use the call to action (CTA) on your landing page. The CTA is important as it's usually the final point of interaction the web visitor has before the actual conversion.
The CTA can be placed at the top of the page, at the bottom, or on both. It's also a good practice to repeat the CTA throughout the page if you have enough space. If your product or service is simple to understand you may try to place the CTA at the top. If it's not, you may want to try to place the CTA at the bottom, so that people can read throughout the page.
If you're using a lead generation landing page, and you have a sign up form at the top of the page, then you'll pace the CTA at the top, and throughout the page. If you have a click-through landing page, you'll want to place the CTA at the top and also bottom, to give people enough time to read.
The video also includes some examples of CTA design that you can use for your own landing page. Some important things to remember: Use a bright color that stands out against the background of the page, make the button looks like a button by using shadows and depth or a 3d design.
Moreover, you should make the button as big as possible, but in a way that fits your design and doesn't look too strange. And you can also add elements like arrows for directional cues.
Another good trick here is to use scarcity elements. For example, you could use a button copy that says things like "Only 3 in stock" or "Grab this limited-time offer" etc. And try to avoid boring button copy such as "click here" or "sign up". You want to make sure people understand what happens when they click.
